Abstract:
PURPOSE: To assure continual execution of a reproduction operation even if address data are erroneously recorded by correcting the end addresses of a data recording region by replacing with the upper limit address of the recording region.
CONSTITUTION: An incorrect recording information data judging means 2 judges presence or absence of the incorrect recording information data while refering to data 5a accessed from a memory section 5 for transferring the recording information and standard track address data 4a accessed from reference data 4. At this time, whether the end addresses of the respective tracks in the data recording region are larger than the upper limit address Z of the uppermost peripheral track of the data recording region 7b or not, is judged. The end addresses of the respective tracks of the user recording part are inputted as the incorrect recording information data 2a to a correcting means 3 if these end addresses are larger than the address Z. The correction data 3a to correct the end addresses of the corresponding tracks of the data recording region by replacing with the address Z is composed in the means 3, and the memory section 5 is corrected with the data 3a.
