Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce petrochemical products such as olefins, aromatic hydrocarbons, etc. in high yield in high seletivity, by cracking catalytically light hydrocarbons, and cracking thermally prepared cracked oils in the presence of steam, hydrogen, and methane.

CONSTITUTION: Light hydrocarbons comprising mainly hydrocarbons having ≤350°C boiling point is fed to the first reactor 1, and cracked catalytically. Then, the formed cracked oils together with other raw material hydrocarbons are fed to the second reactor 2, and thermally cracked in the presence of steam, hydrogen, and methane in such a way that the initial cracking temperature is a high temperature of ≥1,000, to give petrochemical products.
