Abstract:
To provide a method for creating a master curve with less time and man-hour than before.SOLUTION: A method for creating a viscoelastic master curve includes: a first step of preparing a test piece made of a polymer material having viscoelasticity; a second step of measuring a viscoelastic characteristics value by performing a dynamic viscoelasticity test; and a third step of creating the master curve based on measurement data obtained in the second step. In the second step, at least one measured temperature is selected from each of a glass region, a transition region and a rubber region of the polymeric material, and a frequency dependent curve of the viscoelastic characteristics value at the measured temperature and reference temperature is obtained. In the third step, based on the frequency dependent curve at the reference temperature, the frequency dependent curve at each measured temperature is shifted in accordance with a shift factor calculated by a WLF equation, and thereafter the master curve is created by interpolating between the frequency dependent curves.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
