Abstract:
To provide a method capable of improving the optical purity of an optically active β-hydroxyamino acid.
A method for crystallizing a β-hydroxyamino acid is provided, comprising the step of crystallizing the optically active β-hydroxyamino acid through adding methanol and/or acetonitrile. By this method, the optical purity of the β-hydroxyamino acid can be improved. This method is useful for producing the optically active β-hydroxyamino acid.
