Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to cultivate an aerobic microorganism such as an edible mushroom without using sawdust mainly, by transferring a porous ceramic inoculted with the microorganism to a cultivation room where a liquid culture medium component and atmosphere are controlled by a computer.

CONSTITUTION: A cultivation room 1 is provided with a temperature controller 2, humidity controller 3, oxygen controller 4, illuminance controller 5, ventilation controller 6 and culture medium controller 7, and these are controlled by a computer. A conveyor 11 passing through the interior of the cultivation room 1 is provided and equipped with cultivation tables 14 consisting of a porous ceramic. A sterilizing device 9, microorganism inoculation device 8 and a collecting device 10 are provided in the route thereof. In transferring the cultivation tables 14 provided at the conveyor 11 to the cultivation room 1, the leg part of the cultivation tables 14 in only dipped in a culture fluid 13, and the culture fluid 13 is fed from the leg part through the porous ceramic to the microorganism.
