Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method for cultivating fruit bodies using a new strain of Lyophyllum ulmarium grown into a multicaulis form in which the strain is bred.

CONSTITUTION: This method for cultivating a new strain is to inoculate the new strain of Lyophyllum ulmarium capable of providing average ≥65 number of stems having ≥20mm length thereof in mixing sawdust (a mixture of sawdust of a Japanese cedar with sawdust of a Japanese beech in equal volumes) with rice bran at 3:1 (volume ratio), regulating the moisture content to 63%, compactly filling the resultant mixture in a bottle wide-mouthed bottle, having 850ml volume (and 60mm inside diameter) and made of polyethylene so as to provide 535g inner volume, inoculating 10g solid spawn thereinto, developing fruit bodies according to a conventional method and forming the fruit bodies. The new strain has three examples thereof and includes crossed strains.
