To obtain a transparent resin excellent in heat resistance by treating a fluorine-containing polymer having a specific structure with at least one crosslinking agent selected among ammonia, diamines and polyol compounds thereby effecting crosslinking via a functional group in a side chain of the polymer.
A fluorine-containing polymer having a structure represented by formula I is treated with at least one crosslinking agent selected among ammonia, diamines and polyol compounds thereby effecting crosslinking via a functional group in a side chain of the polymer to give a cured product. The crosslinking agent is employed in an amount of one half equivalent to a functional group A in the polymer in the case of ammonia or a diamine represented by the formula: H2N-R"-NH2 and one equivalent, in terms of a hydroxy group, to the functional group A in the case of a polyol compound. X, Y and Z in formula I is hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine or the like; R is a 1-20C fluorine-containing alkylene; R" is a 1-20C alkylene; x and y are each a mole %; A is -CN, -NCO, an acid anhydride represented by formula II or an unsaturated hydrocarbon; and M is a recurring unit derived from a copolymerizable monomer.
