CONSTITUTION: The many rod materials 1 are fixed in a bundled state and are cut by the cutting blade 2. The cutting blade 2 is parted from the cut surface of the bundled rod material 1 during the course of the process for cutting the bundled rod materials 1 by the cutting blade 2. More specifically, the cutting blade 2 is brought near to the bundled wires 1 to cut in the wires for a specified period of time (for example, for 10 seconds). The cutting is then stopped and the cutting blade is lifted and parted from the cut surfaces of the bundled wires 1 for a prescribed period of time (for example, for one second). The wires are cut by repeating this operation. As a result, the wear of the cutting blade is lessened.
