Abstract:
To provide a method for cutting a polymer film, by which method the polymer film can be finely and accurately cut off without deteriorating or eluting the components composing the polymer film.
By the method for cutting the polymer film, the polymer film is divided into fine polymer films having a length of sides from 3 to 160 μm by cutting the polymer film in the X and Y directions, the polymer film being formed on a substrate directly or via another film. The polymer film is cut off by means of a cutting tool having a cutting edge composed of ceramics at least on its surface or a cutting tool having a plurality of cutting edges arranged at the interval corresponding to the length of sides to be cut off.
