PURPOSE: To efficiently remove burrs in a time and labor saving manner at the time of cutting a cupper-made electrode for electric discharge machine.
CONSTITUTION: A workpiece 1 is provided with a plurality of adjacent objective faces to be worked 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d and 1e. The workpiece 1 is cut by a five- spindle type machining center. At the time of cutting non-final objective faces to be worked 1a to 1d, a cutting tool is moved in the direction passing through the worked objective faces not yet cut 1b to 1e. After the finally worked objective face 1e is carried out, a bur or burrs 4 generated at one side of the face 1e is cut and removed by the cutting tool. Only at one side of the workpiece 1 the bur 4 is generated and it is revoved by the cutting tool in this way, thereby revoving the bur 4 efficiently without taking much time or labor.
