Abstract:
To provide a new method for efficiently decomposing estrogen to detoxify it.
The method for decomposing estrogen comprises using white rot fungus and/or lignin degrading enzyme. Since the method for decomposing estrogen using the white rot fungus and/or the lignin degrading enzyme efficiently decomposes estrogen to detoxify it, the method is useful for cleaning the environment contaminated with hardly decomposable estrogen discharged through human and animal urine to the natural kingdom.
