Abstract:
To provide a method for decomposing a (meth)acrylic resin having a high monomer yield.
A method for decomposing a (meth)acrylic resin by heating a solution in which the (meth)acrylic resin is dissolved comprises heating the solution while supplying an inert gas and/or water vapor to the solution or heating the reactor containing the solution from the lower side of the reactor under a condition represented by formula (1): D≤0.2×S1/2, wherein D denotes the thickness of a layer composed of the solution; and S denotes the area of a part to be heated in the reactor.
