To complete treatment in a process up to dehydration filtration in a weight reduction disposal method, to reduce the risks involved in decontamination treatment and to lower the cost of disposal in relation to the decontamination of contaminated soil containing oleaginous and persistent harmful substances such as dioxins.
A permeable housing tool housing an adsorbent which selectively adsorbs oleaginous harmful substances is put in slurried contaminated soil containing oleaginous harmful substances, the soil is agitated to adsorb the harmful substances on the adsorbent and then the housing tool is separated from the soil. By this method, the oleaginous contaminants are efficiently treated, and since the contamination degree of the remaining contaminated soil is sufficiently low, the sealing treatment of the soil is easily and safely carried out even when the volume is huge.
