Title:
METHOD OF DECREASING TISSUE INJURY RELATING TO NON-CARDIAC ISCHEMIA BY USING GLYCOGEN-PHOSPHORYLASE INHIBITOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3277147
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to decrease the non-cardiac tissue injury caused by ischemia and/or low oxygen, particularly the ischemic injury in diabetes, by administrating a glycogen-phosphorylase inhibitor.
SOLUTION: The glycogen-phosphorylase inhibitor of the formula [the dotted line is an optional bond; A is -C(CH)=,-C (an 1-4C alkyl)=, methylene, etc.; R1, R10 and R11 are each H, a halogeno, cyano, an alkyl etc.; R2 is H; R3 is H and an alkyl; R4 is H, methyl, a heterocyclic ring, etc.; R5 is H, hydroxy, etc., R6 is carboxy and the like; R7 is H, fluoro, etc.; R8 is H, an alkyl, etc.; R9 is a substituted alkyl and the like] is administrated in an amount of 0.1-100 mg/kg/day This inhibitor is useful for reducing or minimizing the injury which affects directly tissues such as brain, lung, kidney, liver, intestine, skeletal muscle, pancreas, blood vessel system and rentina sensitive to the ischemia- reperfusion injury in arterial embolism and the like.
