To provide a method for degrading a polycarbonate resin which enables urea and/or bisphenol to be efficiently obtained, and a method for producing urea using the degradation method and a method for producing bisphenol using the degradation method.SOLUTION: A method for degrading a polycarbonate resin is provided in which a polycarbonate resin is degraded in the presence of aromatic monoalcohol and secondary amine. A method for producing urea is provided, including: a step (S1) of degrading a polycarbonate resin using the method for degrading the polycarbonate resin; and a step (S2A) of recovering urea produced by degradation of the polycarbonate resin.
