Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain pulp leaving a high whiteness without any toners, dyes, etc., remaining therein by carrying out both flotation after defibrating and screening and flotation after bleaching under specific conditions.
CONSTITUTION: Waste printed paper containing waste paper for information is defibrated, screened, subjected to flotation treatment, then dehydrated and concentrated, bleached and further subjected to flotation. The air flow rate in the above-mentioned respective flotation treatments is regulated to 0.02Nm3/ min per kg pulp raw material and the treating time is ≥15min. Thereby, pulp having a high whiteness with hardly any impurities such as inks, toners or dyes is obtained.
