PURPOSE: To integrate multi-media input devices to a not-using protecting mechanism by allowing a protection mechanism to delay the locking up of a user interface by an input from a second input device before the raising of a previously fixed event when there is no input from a first input device.
CONSTITUTION: Input devices 17, 19, 21 and 23 are all connected so as to send each interruption to an interruption routine 41. The output of the interruption routine 41 communicates with a protection mechanism 43 through the interruption handler 45 always placed in common and locks all the input device when the interruption of an input device to protect is not executed in a previously fixed period. However, another input device interrupts to input data to an application program within a control period, the interruption handler 45 judges from which input device the interruption input is, and a threshold monitor 49 compares data input with a threshold value and when the input is proper, emulates an input from a protected input device to prevent the locking of the protection mechanism 43.
