Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive the delivery of each common key from plural transmitters by permitting the transmitter that distributes the third key information to obtain a ciphering/deciphering key to be used for broadcast communication by using the first key information distributed from a key manager and the third key information distributed from the transmitter.
SOLUTION: This method consists of a key manager side device 100, a transmitter side device 200 and a receiver side device 300. The key manager calculates receiver identifying data of a receiver, transmits it to the transmitter, calculates transmitter key delivery data of the transmitter and transmits it to the transmitter. The transmitter calculates receiver identifying information of the receiver from one's own secrecy information, a random number and receiver identifying data of the receiver, which is receiver from the key manager, and transmits it to the receiver. Besides, the transmitter calculates receiver key delivery data so as to execute multi-address communication to the receiver. The receiver calculates a data ciphering key from key delivery data received from the transmitter, receiver identifying information, receiver secrecy information delivered from the key manage and publicized transmitter public information so as to store it in a memory.
