Abstract:

To provide a method for transporting a hydrocracking desulfurization process residual oil having a high viscosity and containing asphaltene in a large amount over a long distance, by which the flowability of the oil is ensured and the sediment-depressing effect is enhanced.

This method for transporting the hydrocracking desulfurization process residual oil, comprising mixing the hydrocracking desulfurization process residual oil containing the asphaltene in an amount of ≥1 wt. % with a flux oil and transporting the mixture, is characterized by (1) retaining the flowability of the hydrocracking desulfurization process residual oil and (2) mixing the hydrocracking desulfurization process residual oil with a vacuum distillator residual oil and/or a fluidized catalytic cracker residual oil as the flux oil so that the amount of sediment is controlled to an amount of ≤0.1 wt. % at 250°C.
