To find a method for surely and easily detecting carbohydrate of a CD, a starch portion degraded material, or the like, and to develop a means of detecting CGTase, starch degradative enzyme, and their produced germ.
The method is used to detect carbohydrate of the CD, the starch degraded material, and the like in a sample to be inspected, according to coloring changes, by adding a buffer solution and pH indicator at a prescribed pH region to the sample to be inspected. In test paper for detecting cyclodextrin and/or the starch portion degraded material, the combination of the buffer solution at a specified pH region and the pH indicator is made to be contained in a filter paper. In CGTase and/or starch portion degradative enzyme or the medium for detecting CD and/or the starched portion degraded material, the combination of the buffer solution at a prescribed pH region and the pH indicator, soluble starch or starch, a medium for cultivating cyclodextrin synthesized enzyme or a microbe, having a starch portion degradative enzyme production capability, and agar or gellan gum are mixed.
