Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect deterioration or damage of a capsule effectively in simulation ride.
SOLUTION: A simulation ride comprises a capsule 1 on which a person can ride, and a drive means 3 therefor wherein a movement is imparted to the capsule in tune with an image or a sound provided in the capsule so that the person can experience the simulated movement. In order to detect damage or deterioration of the capsule in such a simulation ride, initial characteristics measured previously before operation are compared with inspection characteristics measured during inspection after operating the ride for a specified time, with regard to the characteristics of the capsule (natural oscillation frequency, strain at a specified part, temperature at a specified part) at the time of imparting movement for inspection from the drive means, and damage or deterioration is detected based on the comparison results.
