Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an accurate detection of a driving position being required for automatically driving a vehicle with a wide range of speed from a low speed to a high speed which is at least 60km/hour based on the driving distance while accurately correcting the driving distance of vehicle based on wheel speed.
SOLUTION: A distance mark with a specific magnetic arrangement is provided at a specific interval by a magnetic nail C being arranged on a driving path B of a vehicle A. The driving distance of the vehicle A is calculated based on wheel speed during driving from a start point, the distance is corrected to a distance expressed by the product of the detection speed of distance mark and the interval of the distance marks every time the distance mark is detected, and the driving position of the vehicle is detected based on the corrected driving distance.
