Abstract:
To provide a marker for detecting GIST; to provide a method for detecting or diagnosing GIST with the marker; and to provide a kit for detecting or diagnosing GIST.
FOXF1 gene low in expression level in gastric cancer and the normal tissue of stomach but elevating the expression level in GIST on the other hand, and a polypeptide encoded by the gene are used as markers for detecting GIST. A detection probe for the GIST marker gene and an antibody for a polypeptide encoded by the gene can be used to detect a marker for detecting GIST and quickly and surely detect or diagnose GIST.
