To provide a method for detecting and a method for identifying oxa-type β-lactamase-productive bacteria, and to provide a kit therefor.
The method for detecting oxa-type β-lactamase-productive bacteria includes: a step of detecting the presence of proteins OXA-23, OXA-40, OXA-51, OXA-54, and OXA-58 in an infective bacteria sample; and a step of deciding that oxa-type β-lactamase-productive bacteria are present in the sample when at least one of the proteins is detected. The method for identifying the oxa-type β-lactamase-productive bacteria in the infective bacteria sample also includes: the step, in the detection method, of identifying the type of the oxa-type β-lactamase-productive bacteria in the infective bacteria sample based on the presence/absence of the expression of the respective proteins. The kit for these methods is also provided.
