Title:
METHOD FOR DETECTING IMAGE NOISE, IMAGE SENSOR, AND RECORDER EMPLOYING THEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3834928
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image sensor for detecting a specified image noise easily and a recorder generating no image noise by printing the light receiving face of an image sensor to form a test pattern and then detecting a specified image noise in a recorder.
SOLUTION: A drive source required for cleaning, e.g. the motor of a vacuum pump for driving the suction means of a cleaning system, or various actuators are driven. Various sensor sections 84 perform various detections, e.g. detection of dirt on the nozzle face of a recording head through a dirt sensor for head or detection of image noise from a test pattern at a noise detecting section, and deliver detection signals to a specified section. A head jet drive section 74 receives a noise detection signal directly or through a CPU 66 and controls the diameter of a dot printed in normal print mode to eliminate detected image noise.
