Title:
METHOD FOR DETECTING METASTATIC CANCER CELL DERIVED FROM STOMACH CANCER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004321102
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To identify a new marker having high specificity in order to detect a peritoneal dissemination of a stomach cancer or an intraperotoneal isolated cancer cell.

The method for detecting a metastatic cancer cell derived from a stomach cancer comprises a step for collecting a biological sample from a test subject, a step for detecting at least either one presence of aldehydedehydrogenase and dapadecarboxylase from the biological sample of the test subject and a step for determining that possibility in which metastatic cancer cell derived from stomach cancer is included in the sample is high when at least either one of the aldehydedehydrogenase or dopadecarboxylase exists. The presence of peritoneal metastasis of stomach cancer patient can rapidly and surely be detected by using the aldehydedehydrogenase or the dopadecarboxylase as a marker for metastatic cancer cell derived from stomach cancer and a dominant material for determining whether application of intraperitoneal cancer cancer chemotherapy is required or not is provided.
