Title:
METHOD OF DETECTING RESIDUAL AIR IN METALLIC PIPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61119900
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reliably detect residual air, by a method wherein a metallic pipe, being conditioned to be full of water, is heated 2 times before and after removal processing of residual air, and a difference in temperature and physical properties produced during said heating is determined. CONSTITUTION:A metallic pipe 1 is brought to a condition in that the metallic pipe is full of water W and with this, a coil 4 for high frequency induction heating is located to the outside of an expansion hollow part 2. Induction heating is effected on the metallic pipe 1 2 times before and after removal processing of residual air, and in which case, the temperature of an outer surface X of the expansion hollow part 2 is changed as shown by a curved line A or a curved line B depending upon the presence of air pocket P. Thus, heating is executed 2 times to determine the temperature difference of the curved line A and the curved line B in a process of said heating, and this enables detection of whether the residual air is removed or not.
