Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To high-efficiently measure the size of a tool even when a parallel spindle is operated by an operation command for a unispindle.
SOLUTION: A CPU 21 moves main spindles 1a-1d toward tool detectors 10a-10d according to a skip command. When some one of the tool detectors 10a-10d detects tools 4a-4d, the moving distance until this time of one, of the main spindles 1a-1d, corresponding to the tool detector is stored and the spindle the moving distance of which is stored is removed from an object of a memory and movement of the main spindle is continued. When detecting signals are outputted from all of the tool detectors 10a-10d, movement is stopped to execute a subsequent command.
