Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely detect troubles happened at the time of inserting a steel sheet coil into a reel mandrel or pulling out.
CONSTITUTION: Making a band steel coil 2 in contact with a mandrel 3 is detected by connecting a conduction detecting circuit 4 providing a power source between the mandrel 3 and the band steel coil 2 and detecting the electric current to flow in the circuit 4. Therefore, it can be detected regardless of the shape or kind of the band steel coil or existence of coating material on the coil 2.
