Abstract:
To provide a novel electrode performance determination method capable of determining the electrode performance of a positive electrode material of a lead storage battery.SOLUTION: An electrode performance determination method determines the electrode performance of a positive electrode material in a lead-acid battery on the basis of an area ratio obtained in the following steps of (1) forming the positive electrode material at a constant current for 11 hours such that the charge is 250%, and then discharging with a constant current at 0.2 C for one hour, (2) acquiring an image having a plurality of pixels as an image of a cross section of the positive electrode material, (3) acquiring an R value in the range of 0 to 255 in RGB for each of the pixels, and (4) acquiring the area ratio of the total area of the pixels having the R value of 101 to 255 to the total area of the image.SELECTED DRAWING: None
