Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make efficiently performable GO/NO-GO judgement on the internal pressure of a can by canceling measurement errors due to the vibrations of a conveyer and highly accurately measuring the depth of the bottom of a can at a predetermined location by a simple method.
SOLUTION: In this judging method, the distance A to the center location of the bottom of a can 20 installed on a can transferring conveyer 10 to be transferred is measured by a displacement meter 1, and the distance B from the displacement meter 1 to the uppermost surface of the bottom of the can 20 is measured by a laser-type length measuring device 2. By subtracting the measured value of the laser-type length measuring device 2 from the measured value of the displacement meter 1. the center depth CD of the bottom of the can 20 is computed. By comparing the computed value with a set value, the internal pressure of the can 20 is measured.
