CONSTITUTION: A developing method or a developing machine, for developing after exposure a roll of silver halide color photographic material having at least one photograph forming layer on a transparent carrier, is characterized in that the transparent carrier used is a polyester film and that during at least part of a drying process after developing process, the film has a high-tension portion where tension on the film is in the range 350 to 1500g.
