Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for different-kind information source access which enable an end user to easily generate a virtual table wherein plural information source present in a network are integrated by specifying a key word and a condition value and also to have a virtual database as a set of virtual tables by storing and reusing virtual tables which are generated once and a storage medium stored with a different-kind information source access program.
SOLUTION: When the key word and condition value are inputted by the end user, the key word and condition value are inputted to DBSENA to obtain a candidate group of retrieval execution information on an information source as the output of the DBSENA, and candidates for necessary retrieval execution information are used as view definition information to register a set of view definition information in a client-side view definition information dictionary; when retrieval is carried out, the retrieval from the DBSENA is performed on the basis of an inputted retrieval expression and by referring to the view definition information registered in the view definition information dictionary to obtain an instance.
