Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ALIGNING MULTIPLE PICTURE EXPOSURE FRAMES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3547014
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a device and method for aligning multiple picture exposure frames in a single-path hybrid ROS/print bar system.
CONSTITUTION: A device for aligning multiple picture exposure frames incorporates a photoreceptor belt which is applied to adjust the formation of picture exposure fames I1-I4 and contains transparent V-shaped targets 30 and 32 which are arranged along a common line being in parallel with a processing direction and have vertexes, a raster output scanner (ROS) 11 which forms a plurality of scanning lines 22A in a direction crossing the belt, sensor pairs 50 and 52 which detect light rays passing through the targets 30 and 32 from the ROS 11, a controller circuit 15 which compares the output signals of each sensor pair 50 and 52, and a means which skews the scanning lines 22A formed by the ROS 11 until the output signals of the sensor pairs 50 and 52 become coincident with each other.
