Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ANALYZING RADIATED LIGHT FROM FLUORESCENT CHEMICAL SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2674736
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device to evaluate fluorescent radiated light from a chemical sensor.
CONSTITUTION: An A/B ratio unit 33 calculates the ratio, depending on the AC and DC components of a radiated light from a chemical sensor 23. An integral comparator 38 compares the calculated ratio with the desired ratio. The desired ratio is selected to concentrate in the high-resolution region of the sensor. When the calculated and desired ratios are different, frequency of the exciting radiation light is changed at an electronic signal source 26 until they become practically equal. At that time, the tuned frequency is measured. By concentrating the desired ratio in the high-resolution region and tuning the frequency until reaching to the desired ratio, all readings are carried out in the high-resolution region of the sensor. The tuned frequency is used to indicate if bacteria are grown in a certain vial. This tuned frequency is a function of the first degree of the conditions changing in the vial.
