Abstract:
PURPOSE: To calculate a weight at a high speed with a simple circuit by compressing segment edge data, reading the compressed data from a function table or using a function table whose capacity is comparatively small so as to calculate the weight.from the segment edge data only.
CONSTITUTION: Coordinate compression means 111-116, 121, 122 read coordinate data compressed so that an error in a weight with respect to the X coordinate is within a predetermined value based on data at both ends of an edge of a segment and data in which Y coordinates of an upper end and a lower end of the edge are deviated in an upper end direction by one sub pixel. The data bit number of the read compression coordinate data and coordinate data deviated in the upper end direction and compressed is less than that in the original coordinate expression. Weight calculation means 131-134 are accessed based on the reduced data and a weight calculated in advance is read from each integration range. The weight read by a weight integration means 14 is integrated for each position on a screen.
