Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for applying a parting agent capable of applying the parting agent in the optimum state irrespective of the shape and size of a die when continuously conducting working for a work by using a die.
SOLUTION: A temp. of forging dies 14A-14D are detected by temp. sensors 28A-28D, 30A-30D. In controller 32, a parting agent applying time for the max temp. θmax of the forging dies 14A-14D is calculated. After parting agent applying means 19A-19D are moved up to the position corresponding to the forging dies 14A-14D, the parting agent is stopped for the time for applying the parting agent of the max temp. θmax, and the parting agent is applied, then the forging dies 14A-14D are cooled down to 150-250°C.
