PURPOSE: To allow the uniform application of a solid lubricant by as much as needed on the ball contact surface of a bearing holder by directing the recessed part to be the ball contact surface of the main bearing holder upward, disposing plural pieces of lubricant discharge nozzles to face this recessed part and discharging the prescribed amt. of the solid lubricant dissolved in a solvent, thereby applying the lubricant to the recessed part.
CONSTITUTION: The recessed part to be the ball contact surface of the main bearing holder 1 is directed upward and plural pieces of the lubricant discharge nozzles 7 are disposed to face this recessed part. The solid lubricant (e.g. molybdenum disulfide) dissolved in the solvent (e.g. petroleum) is discharged in the prescribed amt. therefrom and is applied to the recessed part. Consequently, the lubricant is applied uniformly and evenly on the holder 1 of the rolling ball bearing for which the solid lubricant is used and which is used for the vacuum tube, e.g. characteristic rotary anode X-ray tube.
