Abstract:
To enable even a user who is precarious to stand up on his or her feet to safely stand up or sit down without any help.
A fluid pressure cylinder 9 is attached to a chair 5 in a state where the cylinder 9 penetrates a seat 5a. A seat surface member 6 is attached to the distal end of the rod 9a of the cylinder 9 via a holder 7 and brought into contact with the hips 2a of the standing user 2 from below. Thus, the seat surface member 6 is brought into contact with the hips 2a from below in the whole process of a sitting-down action or a standing-up action by the user 2. Then the actions are assisted without giving any uneasy sense to the user 2.
