To automatically pour a molten metal to a mold at a given gate position by combining a positional control of a mold and that of a ladle in a casting process and freely setting the gate position of the mold.
A mold 3 being set at a given travelling speed in advance from a casting speed, a casting time and the like, is moved in a horizontal direction A so as to control the position of the mold. The position of a mobile ladle 2 is reciprocated/controlled between a holding furnace 1 and a mold position control line 7 in a direction B perpendicular to the mold 3 moving direction A interlocking with the moving speed of the mold 3. The position of the gate arranged at a given position of the mold 3 is read/controlled by a gate position reading sensor 4, and the molten metal from the ladle 2 is poured into the mold 3 through the gate. The poured mold 3 is directionally changed on a turn table 6 by the position control line 7 and transferred in a F direction by a mold transferring line 8. Therefore, the molten metal can be automatically poured from the gate by varying the position of the gate arranged at a given position of the mold, if necessary.
