PURPOSE: To cut blocks of raw meat in the form of a specified weight by compressing the block of raw meat thrown into a hopper in the longitudinal direction to be rodlike meat blocks of a specified density and substantially same cross section, converting the total weight of each block into the length, and pushing the meat out from the hopper by the length set based on the value measured.

CONSTITUTION: Blocks of raw meat are thrown into a feed hopper 2 where they are formed of long cylindrical body with a constant cross section, and thereat, compressed in the longitudinal direction, and formed to be rodlike meat block having substantially same cross section and constant density. The total weight of each block is converted into the length, and the block is measured by a weight measuring means. The value measured is operated by an operation circuit, and setting of cutting length and cutting times equivalent to preliminarily selected constant weight or constant ratio weight is performed. The rodlike meat blocks are sequentially pushed out from the hopper 2 by a plunger 12 by the length set, and cut by a cutting unit 30 at the exit end of the hopper while they are charged under pressure to an auxiliary hopper 40 extending from the exit end thereof to the axial line direction and arranged concentrically.
