Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an aluminum bent work having a complex crosssectional shape and a small inside bending radius at a low cost.

CONSTITUTION: Using a punch 3 having a shape coinciding the inside shape of the extruded aluminum section 2 to be bent in an almost U-shape and freely vertically moving and a die 4 formed with a recess part having a shape coinciding the outside shape of the bent extruded aluminum section 2, the extruded section 2 is bent by lowering the punch 3 after the section 2 is mounted in a riding state on the die 4 and a force orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the section 2 is applied to the section 2 and the section 2 is bent. Free rollers 6 by which coefficient of friction of the section 2 to the die 4 is reduced when the bending is executed are provided on stepped part 14 provided on both of the upper peripheral parts of the recess parts respectively.
