Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a bending method and device by which deflection generated in each split die during the bending is prevented so as to improve accuracy of bending angle.
CONSTITUTION: In bending a work W by a bending die 43, a pressing force to resist bending reaction is imparted to split dies 59, in order to prevent deflection of the split dies 59 due to bending reaction during bending, by means of a pressing device 63 which is provided in each of the plural split dies 59 arranged in the longitudinal direction of the work W as an upper holding die 33 for pressing and fixing the work W in cooperation with a lower holding die 17.
