To continuously operate subsequent processing position, by feeding a piled body row to an inlet range of a buffer, supplying it to a compensation range, subsequently feeding it to an outlet range of the buffer if necessary, collecting it in a unit, and feeding it to the outlet range prior to a work of the piled body row placed in the outer range.

A piled body row 19 cut by a sliding body 20 is fed to an inlet table 2 and a central table portion 3. A piled body row formed from individual piled bodies 42 is moved by a sliding body 12 longitudinally of the central table portion 3. At this time, the piled body column 19 subsequently progresses a piled body row finally moved by the sliding body 12, and this piled body row and another piled body row form a unit. As a result, a sliding body 18 pushes out the just final piled body row, and therefore, a sliding body 15 progresses the unit received from the range of the sliding body 12 to a range adjacent to the sliding body 18. Thus, a piled body row can be fed just before feeding out to a subsequent processing position.
