Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CHANGING SIZE OF DIGITAL IMAGE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3036965
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To change the size of a stored digital image by elongating original image data and, at the same time, adjusting an input so that the input can match with an output raster display device.
CONSTITUTION: A raster scanning type image reproducing system which matches with original image data representing an arbitrary number of pixels and an arbitrary aspect ratio to a specific image having a desired size and aspect ratio. The system is constituted of a CPU 12, a memory 20, a data processing section 24, lines 14 and 16, etc. A desired output image and an original image size are decided in at least one direction and the ratio between the image and size is found. Then elongated output image data are prepared by digitally elongating the original image data by a coefficient equal to a calculated integer and sampling the image data at a specific sampling rate. Moreover, a recorder- like output raster display device is driven by using the sampled output data.
