To provide a method and device for collecting rolling data by and with which the analysis of rolling phenomenon and learning precision of setting calculation are improved.

In collecting the rolling data of a rolled stock which is continuously rolled with a continuous mill using 1st rolling data measuring means which are provided on every rolling mill and a 2nd rolling data measuring means which is provided on a rolling line, measuring points of the rolled stock for measuring the data by the 1st and 2nd rolling data measuring means are decided by a measuring point deciding means 10. Arrival of the respective decided measuring points at each rolling mill from the inlet side to the outlet side of the continuous mill and the installation positions of the 2nd rolling data measuring means is detected by a tracking means 11 and, whenever the measuring points reach each rolling mill and the 2nd rolling data measuring means, the rolling data of the rolled stock measured by the 1st and 2nd rolling data measuring means are collected by a rolling data collecting means 12.
