Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make reliable measurement by recording a datum corresponding to the power required to operate an oscillation generator as a correlated measurement value of the transverse resistance when a track is oscillated in the horizontal direction crossing the longitudinal direction of the track and the transverse resistance of the track is continuously measured.
CONSTITUTION: A track stabilizer 1 has a slender frame 2, and it is supported by a track bogie 3 on the rail 4 of a track 5. A driving device 6 is fitted to the track bogie 3, and a fluid driving motor 7 is provided for traveling. A measuring device 20 is attached to each oscillation unit 12 to detect the oscillation amplitude generated by an oscillation generator 21. The track 5 is oscillated in the horizontal direction crossing the longitudinal direction of the track 5, and the transverse resistance of the track 5 is continuously measured. The power required for operating the oscillation generator 21 is recorded as a correlated measurement value of the transverse resistance.
