PURPOSE: To reduce the fatigue of an operator by providing a switch to a mouse device to designate the moving direction and the moving speed of a mouse cursor and to operate the switch with fingers only.
CONSTITUTION: The moving speed of a mouse cursor is recognized on a display screen by the degrees of pushing force of the switches 5 and 6 which are set at the angular positions of a disk button 2 in response to the angles set on the screen. At the same time, the movement of the mouse cursor is controlled with recognition of a fact that the mouse cursor is continuously moved on the screen as long as the switches are continuously pushed. For instance, the moving direction of 360° can be designated based on a fact that the circular fringe of the direction shift pointing button 2 has no contact with the lower part. Furthermore the switch 6 is made of a rubber material 7 and a metal 8 so that the pushing pressure of the button 2 can be recognized. As a result, the fatigue of an operator can be reduced.
