Abstract:

PURPOSE: To compensate change, particularly, of fuel metering so as to improve running characteristics of an internal combustion engine.
CONSTITUTION: A solenoid-valve-controlled fuel metering system particularly for an internal combustion engine is controlled. The beginning WB and/or the end of fuel metering are controlled through at least one drive moment A of a solenoid valve. An angular size is converted into a time quantity by using at least one rotational speed value. A first time quantity AN based on a first rotational speed value, and a second time quantity AM+1 based on the second rotational speed value NM+1 are calculated. A weighted time quantity A is obtained by forming an average value based on at least the first and the second time quantity AM, AM+1, and based on these values, beginning of the fuel supply can be determined.
