Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING SOUND VOLUME OF ONE-BIT DIGITAL SIGNAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3453279
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control with high accuracy the sound volume of analog sound signals, without producing noises at the time of demodulating one-bit signals obtained by delta-sigma modulation.
SOLUTION: A clock signal source 3 generates, in advance, a system clock CK having a sufficiently high frequency synchronously to one-bit signals DAT, and a pulse width control signal generating circuit 2 counts the pulses of the system clock CLK by the number, corresponding to the volume value set by means of a volume setting means 4 and causes flip flops 6 and 7 to output pulses only during that period. Since a volume control signal VOLCTL is a binary signal, noise is not produced due to threshold fluctuation, etc., and pulse width errors become the crystal accuracy of the clock CLK.
